METHOD #1:

ONBOARDING NEW DATA TO SALESFORCE

STEP 1

Prior to importing your data into SalesForce, remove invalid addresses by simply verifying it by following these steps:

  • Save the new list as a .CSV or .TXT formatted file on your computer.
  • Log in to your SalesForce account, click on the BriteVerify app then drag and drop the list.
  • Once the list is uploaded and prepped, a price estimate is displayed based on the number of emails found in the list. This is simply an estimate and the actual price will be displayed upon completion.

STEP 2

  • Next you have the option of removing Risky emails in addition to the invalids
  • Create a name for the list
  • Choose the type of list (Select Email list unless you know you're working with Data Extension)
  • Click Verify List to begin the verification process
  • List processing time is dependent on list size.
  • Once the list has been verified click View Details to get a detailed breakdown of the list verification. While various download options are available next to the results card, it is not necessary to download the results as the verified data is already available under the BriteVerify folder under Subscribers - either in lists or data extensions depending on type selected earlier.

STEP 3

  • Click the View List button to view the Verified data in the BriteVerify Folder in SalesForce.

METHOD #2:

MIGRATING AN EMAIL LIST FROM AN EMAIL SERVICE PROVIDER

STEP 1

  • Log in to Salesforce and load the BriteVerify app from the AppExchange menu.
  • Click the Verify List button
  • Select the service where the list is currently used. If you have not linked BriteVerify with the service then you will be prompted to do so.

STEP 2

  • There are a several options to choose in the dialog that appears next. A dropdown menu of your lists from the original location will load for you to select from. Once the list is loaded, a cost estimate will be displayed.
  • Another user input required at this stage is to determine if Risky emails should be eliminated from the final list. Risky emails include “Unknown” and “Accept_all” category emails and are preferred to be removed as they can dilute a marketing campaign’s overall performance.
  • Give your list a name and choose the file type (Select Email list unless you know you're working with Data Extension)
  • Click Verify List to begin the verification process.
  • List processing time is dependent on list size.
  • Once the list has been verified click View Details to get a detailed view of the results.
