Product Description 

The Email, Phone and Address Verification API from Validity verifies three critical pieces of customer contact information: email, phone and address.  In just one API call, three pieces of contact information can be verified to achieve better data quality. The Email, Phone, and Address API verifies global email addresses, phone numbers from the US and Canada, and addresses in the US.  Armed with API results, you have visibility into strategic customer communication points to optimize marketing, customer service and sales communication.

Email Response Codes    

  • Address: Email address provided for verification
  • Account: The local part of the address
  • Domain: Domain associated with the email address 
  • Status: Verification Status of valid, invalid, accept_all or unknown
  • Error Code: This tag helps identify the reason for the Invalid status:

        - Email_address_invalid: The email address format is incorrect.
        - Email_domain_invalid : The email address is associated with a domain that                   does not exist.
        - Email_account_invalid : The email account does not exist at the given domain 

  • Disposable: Returns true if the address is identified as a disposable email and is set to self-destruct after some time. 
  • Role_Address: Returns true if the address is identified as a group address 

 

Phone Response Codes    

  • Number: Phone number provided for verification 
  • Status: This tag informs if the value was valid, invalid or unknown. 
  • Error Code: This tag helps identify the reason for the invalid or unknown status:

        - Invalid_phone_number : The provided number does not exist.
        - Blank_phone_number : The phone number field is blank. This could be due to             improper formatting.
        - Invalid_format : The number provided has insufficient or inaccurate information.
        - Invalid_prefix : Unable to verify the phone prefix or first 7 digits. 

  • Service Type: This tag identifies the type of phone number verified as a landline, cellphone or VOIP. It would not apply to an unknown status. 

       - Mobile: At the time of activation, the number was designated as a cellular                    number
       - Land: At the time of activation, the number was designated as a land line
       - VOIP: At the time of activation, the number was designated as a VOIP line 

  • Phone Location: Helps verify if the number belongs to a residential, business or small office location. It would not apply to an unknown status. 

       - Residential: The phone number is associated with a residence
       - Business: The phone number is associated with a business
       - Small_Office: The phone number belongs to a small office 

Address Response Codes    

  • Address1: The street line of the address 
  • Address2: Any secondary address line including suite, apt or office number 
  • City: The city name 
  • State: The state name or abbreviation 
  • Zip: The zip code belonging to the City and State
  • Status: This tag informs if the value was valid, invalid or unknown: 
  • Error Code: This tag helps identify the reason for the invalid or unknown status:

         - Suite_invalid_missing: While the street address is valid, the suite/apartment is              missing or invalid.
         - Multiple_match: Two or more possible addresses are matched and so unable              to choose one over the other.
         - Missing_minimum_inputs: Missing minimum inputs to verify address.
         - Zip_code_invalid: The address could not be verified based on the postal code            provided.
         - Unknown_street: Could not conclusively locate the input street to its unique                  street name.
         - Directionals_invalid: Directional information did not match with the suffix                        provided (Ave, St, Blvd)
         - Non_deliverable_address: Address cannot be delivered to.
         - Suite_invalid: While the street address is valid, the suite/apartment provided is            invalid.
         - Suite_missing: While the street address is valid, the suite/apartment provided              is required.
         - Street_number_invalid: The building or house number is invalid.
         - Street_number_missing: The building or house number is required.
         - Box_number_invalid: The PO box number is invalid.
         - Box_number_missing: The PO box number is required.
         - PMB_required: The Private mailbox number is missing. 

  • Corrected: The tag indicates if the address has been corrected to proper USPS address format. 
  • Duration: The time in seconds it took to process the verifications
